My name is Gabriel.
I’m a producer, engineer, and artist based in Seattle, WA, dedicated to helping emerging artists bring their creative visions to life. With over eight years of experience in production and engineering, I use my expertise to deliver professional, studio-quality sound in every project I undertake.
My journey as an artist and producer began in my parents’ basement, where I started making beats in high school. Like most people learning a new skill, I was terrible at it. I had no confidence in my songs, and never sent a beat to anyone. Instead, I decided to make my own attempts at vocals. After years of poor singing and songwriting, I began to notice progress to the point where I started to enjoy my own creations.
My self-taught journey led me to the University of Oregon's Music Technology program, where I honed my skills in production, vocal performance, composition, and engineering. There, I continued to carve out my sound as a producer and vocalist, forming the band Skoob and performing throughout the city of Eugene, OR.

NOBIS
With the release of Underrated on November 5th, the Nobis project begins.
“The adoption of a new artist name marks the beginning of a new era. My sound, my identity, and my creativity have evolved as I’ve grown as a person and as a musician over the years and I want Nobis to be a project that will reflect that change.
I want to portray my thoughts and ideas in a way that inspires emotion in my audience and my peers. I want to be able to create a sonic landscape that can take you to a new place.
I want to create something that you’ve never heard before.”

SKOOB
Skoob began in 2019, when Gabriel Nobis and Skyler Beard shared a dorm room together at the University of Oregon. With Gabriel’s production and songwriting expertise and Skyler’s instrumental prowess, they immediately became one of the most talented groups in the Eugene area.
Since the release of their dynamic debut album Repetitions, Skoob has carved out their sound in a lane completely separate from the rest, blending indie pop and rap with inspirations of rock, soul, and funk.
The band performed throughout their tenure in Oregon, including a performance in the ASUO Battle of the Bands at WOW Hall.
Since then, the band has been on a bit of a hiatus, with Skyler moving to Portland and Gabriel moving back to his hometown in Seattle after graduating. However, they continue to create and develop their sound, and will return with new releases in the future.
